Baby Zoe and family

Crystal is a newer friend I met through our mom's group at church. Her middle daughter is only 10 days older than Bailee and have played in children's church together during our meetings. Zoe Evangeline is the newest member of the family, born on March 6th, 7 lbs 4oz. 20.5 inches long. Her sisters and parents clearly adore her. I was lucky to witness some of her first sweet sleeping smiles during our session and it was so cute to see the father so excited even though it is his third little girl. She was a little hungry at the beginning of our session, but once she had a full tummy, she went right to sleep and was a perfect little angel for all our photos. :)

Brandy and Emma

This mother and daughter are no strangers to my blog. I have photographed them a number of times in other settings but this was the first for just the two of them. We hit up the orchards a third time and found just a couple trees that still had their blooms. Even though we were racing the sunset to get some good shots, Emma had no problem showing off her cute personality for the camera. Enjoy!

Bailee's Orchard Pictures

Once again, I dressed my daughter up so I could take pictures of her. As I mentioned before, she is a tomboy who also loves to look pretty. Lately her obsession has been to "wear a pretty dress and spin around?!" I took her to one of the orchards that had been blown around in the wind storm so all of the blossoms were on the ground. It was actually really pretty still, it looked like snow.

Maribel and Kids

Spring time in Bakersfield is well-known for the blooming flowers of the almond orchards. Last year I missed them, but this year I wanted to be sure to photograph at least a few families in them. Maribel is a friend from high school who has three handsome boys. They looked so great in their plaid shirts and pants! They were all pretty well-behaved and when they got a little rambunctious, I didn't even mind because we were able to get some great candid moments out of them! The wind had blown a lot of the blossoms off many of the orchards but we were able to find a few left. :)
